In addition to my other services, I am available to do professional development and presentations. These presentations can range from very general presentations to the very specific or from very introductory to advanced. Additionally, I can conduct a traditional workshop style presentation or a more hands-on type session covering everything from PowerPoint to advanced Web 2.0 technologies. Each presentation can be tailored to fit your needs and the needs of your organization.

The following is a sampling of the types of presentations I can offer:

Education Related:

  • Tradigital History

    • Traditional history classrooms have centered around the teacher as the expert and students learning by wrote memorization. The 21st Century history classroom allows students to become historians by interacting with digital primary sources. This workshop shows how to turn a traditional classroom into a tradigital history classroom.

  • Cyberbullying — Staying Safe Online

    • Increase awareness and learn solutions to prevent CyberBullying by having a clear understanding of the who, what, where and how’s of Cyber Bullying. This workshop uses real life cases of how technology can be used to hurt people. The session also covers parenting tips so you can communicate with your kids and empower them to make really good decisions.

Business Presentations:

These presentations are tailored specifically for your church or small business needs.

  • RSS — Your Internet Radio Station

    • RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, is one of the most powerful tools available on the web. This session will show how your business can harness the power of RSS to benefit your customers and employees.

  • Intro to Social Media

    • This workshop addresses what social media is and how businesses can use it to their advantage. This social media training gives you the tools and knowledge you need to easily navigate the new world of social media. Social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube, and social media tools such as blogs and wikis are introduced during this workshop.

Universal Presentations:

These presentations are suited for any audience from students and parents up to the officers of your business.

  • All Google All the Time

    • Everyone knows how to do a “Google Search” but fewer people know about many of Google’s other tools and resources. During this presentation, I demonstrate various other Google tools and services that will help your employees become more efficient users of the web thus saving time and money.

  • Making the Internet Work for You

    • Rather than wasting time “surfing the net”, this workshop will show your staff how to save time and money by having the Internet work for them. Using various Internet tools and techniques, this session will show your staff tips such as advanced searching techniques and RSS.

I can custom create a workshop to specifically meet the needs of your staff. I could also work with you and your staff to create a customized profession development plan including surveying your staff to assess their current technology skills.
